The Screams of silence

My lonely heart in silence screams
You are mine but only in my dreams
I fool myself when the sun is bright
But I can’t deceive the darkest nights
Gazing up at the stars in the sky
I’m alone… my arms cannot deny
Rain falls softly all around
Sadly I hang my head to the ground
I am not afraid of being alone
But still the thought chills to the bone

My lonely heart in silence screams
Emotions run to extremes
Joy and love you bring to me
Only you can set my heart free
Once your voice fades away
The edges of my being begin to fray
I need your arms to hold me tight
Your touch to tell me things are alright
I sense you slowly slipping away
My heart can only begin to pray
As my lonely heart in silence screams
