Stanley Robert Brown, Jr., 83, of DeGraff, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 27, 2017, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Bob was born in Franklin County, Ohio on November 4, 1933 to the late Stanley Robert and Anna (Hall) Brown. He married the former Shirley Ann Hooley on March 27, 1954 and she preceded him in death on June 28, 2012. Bob was also preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Holycross, and his sister Donna Ammon.
Bob was a truck driver for Super Foods for eight years. He then worked as a machinist at LeRoi Dresser before retiring after 37 years. Bob enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping and play Euchre in Nidink games on line with his friends !!. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, Ohio State Buckeyes, and NASCAR. Bob attended the DeGraff Presbyterian Church.
Bob is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Karen Brown of Lakeview; eight grandchildren: Julie Holycross, Steven Holycross, Greg Holycross, Jeremy Holycross, Ryan (Amber) Holycross, Tifinni (Jimmy) McCue, Eric Brown and Michael Brown; 17 great-grandchildren; two nieces, Darla Andrew and Dawn Ammon and two nephews, Stanley Ammon and Randy Ammon.
Friends may call at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes St., DeGraff, on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 5-7pm. Pastor Floyd Lundy will officiate the funeral service on Tuesday, May 2 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery.
