TOURNEY RULES

Each host can make his own rules ... You can run any format you like ... bearing mind some formats are unpopular and Most people prefer REG.
I run a Reverse once a week cos some people do Like it and it makes a change.... Just be aware that the host before you hasn’t done something obscure ... we want to keep players in the room ....
the.. 2 Subs rule or having the HOST sub in the final or having the suit you call in your hand (defense) are things we left behind at Hoyle... but you make your own rules ... just be consistant...

WELCOMES

Its gr8 We can see right at the bottom of the Screen who is leaving and entering the room.. Please welcome players, particularly newbies them as soon as you see them ... and also let them know which tables you are using.... this may encourage them to sit...

SEATING .....................

Some hosts use tables 50 – 45 and some the middle of the room So be aware of where the next tourney is going to be and work your tables around that .... Working together is the key.. we are all on the same team,

Forcing people to move if they sit at table 5
when you are seating 1-4 is no Big deal .... or whatever table as long as they are not too far up and you know how many tables you are going to get .. unless it’s really close to start time as long as you let them know in the lobby you may have to move them if you dont fill ... for the night time tables we usually get more than 4 tables anyway... its easier for them not to move and it saves annoying anyone ..

I usually close at about 15 - 20 mins past the hour
and I try not to turn anyone away or I slot them into rnd 2 ...try to keep the tourneys flowing.. Closing your tourney too early means there is a longer wait til the next one..

We have now started to run "in between" tourneys to start at half past the hour either as 2nd chances tourneys or 5 point tourneys ..... it keeps players in the room !!!! as long as you do Close at half past so as not to hurt the tourney after you ... its not mandatory just if you want to.

FLOODING WITH MACROS

A macro doesn't really have to be any more than 2 lines and when you are welcoming people ....PLEASE REMEMBER there is ONE maybe TWO other HOSTS in the room still seating .,... if there are 2 of you then maybe only one of you welcome....

DJ’s

As you are aware we have DJ’s in the room.. and they have a set of rules... Some set by US and some by Nidink.....

All DJ's are welcome

THEY must ASK a host to addy ... you should say YES ... but if you are seating a big tourney and its round 1 posts u can ask them to wait....
a DJ must have the station initials in his name.. eg... MHR .... SRR ...
they must have their DJ id...

Dj’s must be LIVE...

and they must be in Euchre ... they cannot come from Spades or anywhere else and addy in Euchre...

Players should NOT advertise for Radio Stations and should not be disruptive of a Tourney ... you can have fun without disrupting as there are sometimes 3 hosts working in the room.. Remember we are here to play Euchre ... and it is a Tournament Room..

The DJ’s are really supportive of us so be nice to them

but remember we are a EUCHRE room not a RADIO station

WATCHERS ...

Any one is allowed to watch a game .....but if one player Objects to a watcher then the HOST decides whether they should or shouldnt leave ...

the watcher must not be disruptive to the game ....Watching is a way to cheat ... so Hosts be aware of this............................

If only one player objects then suggest they hide their cards
AND any player may hide his cards at any time ... it is an Option set by Nidink

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE HOST BE BOOTED FROM THE TABLE

TOOLS

We have been given control tools by Nidink as HOSTS .... (you can only use them while you are in your HOST name) and we must use them responsibly.. Nidink does Monitor their use so if you are going to BOOT or GAG a player that is being obnoxious in the room.. please give them a clear warning .. 1st in the lobby ...and then in PRIVATE .... and then BOOT or GAG..... You do not have to put up with disruptive or bad behaviour ...

The gag5 tool is by far the most effective tool ... they get a message they are gagged and then can only talk in Private.....

Usually Bango or I am around at night time ... but we will not Interfere unless absolutely necessary or u ask US to do so......

The Euchre room is Ours (Players Club)... so we do NOT need call Intexk to the room unless absolutely necessary (you have the tools to deal with problems) or Bango I are not there....

CHEATING

For the most part people DON'T cheat ... but it would be very niaive of us to think that it doesn’t happen ... It can never be proved so we try to discourage people from calling other players cheats.... Couples in the same house may play together.... you don't have to be in the same house to cheat ...

You CANNOT DQ anyone for cheating BUT you can DQ them for SLOW play.... if you have a complaint of cheating, go to the Table and watch ... say you are checking score or they need to speed up a bit.... that lets them know you are there.. watch for a while ... this usually makes them speed up or you can ask them to reboot !!!... stay in the room whether you are actually watching or not..... if you know the game and count the cards usually u can tell if someone is cheating ... if they continue to be slow say you will DQ if they don’t speed up ... this all depends on the score..... and the game and you are the best judge ....

THE LOBBY

The lobby is a public place and even tho this is deemed to be an Adult Site, Players do not need to use bad language nor to see Bad Language.. So you have a right to ask people not to use it....

These are just guidelines NOT rules .... the one RULE we DO have is that we RESPECT each other players and Hosts... we are all on the same team ..... RESPECT the players and they will respect you.......
