Thoughts running through my mind,

I try to be forgiving but find that wounds real or imagined are not easy to heal

People say I can be cold, but the coldness is to hold people at a distance and not let them get too close, closeness hurts.

I try to make you laugh, if you are laughing you can’t see the real me hiding behind the façade.

When enemies hurt you it’s easy to overlook … when friends hurt you they take away part of you.

Do not look to me for pity … I have none for I do not think you are pathetic unless you wish to be …
