The stars made me cry tonite,
there beauty seen by my eyes alone.
Not shared as they are meant to be.
The twinkle of light . . .the magical shimmer,
reflect only in my own eyes.
As my head searches for a shoulder to lean on,
but instead finds an unyielding emptiness, a void,
no place for my head, or my heart.
My eyes rest
upon the stars,
dreaming to share them with another.
Appreciating their beauty on my own, alone.
Again no hope in sight, only the stars at night.
