For it has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth
Thought I was in love a couple of times
Turns out I got burned
The heavens cried
Smell of rain in the air
The birds have stopped chirping
Or calling to one another
The oceans swell to a tempo
Fast and compellingly strong
That the leaves on the trees
Shudder to hear the roar
Life goes fast
Yet sometimes you just want to stop and smell the flowers
The oceans ebb and flow
Or to sit under a shade tree and seek out
Insects to watch
The key is everything.
